WTF!!

okay this is surely a WTF! moment. i hope you guys remember i had gone for the Google interview etc? well apparently they called a few people from our class for the other interviews. damn! don't ask, most of us didn't make the cut. surprises? well kinda but then this isn't the end of the world and all that. but hey the drastic bit is the few people of our class got through, who personally some of us feel don't shouldn't even be there, among the ones chosen is one most deserving girl, a hardworking at that and a good academician. but if this is the kinda people who get through then boy! my future seems bleak. now this doesn't mean that i am excellent or most deserving but really shocking to see Bengali medium people who don't even take English as optional to make the cut and others, specially Firefly to not get through. damn this is the most disgusting thing to ever happen. the disappointment is there for sure. but more so is the WTF moment, where you are so damn pissed at fate and everything else that was unjust. god save me from plunging into pitless despair!! am i all that bad?! damn! cruel fate!

I always thought companies hire people who are bright, diligent and have that spark. But no, I was wrong. They want people(read geeks) who have great acad's to boast off, the "generally clueless" sorts. The one's who think, that the condition of the economy is just-BAD, or the one's who think spending 8 hrs with your books is an obvious choice.
Most importantly, the one's who may just opt out of the job sometime down the line for some frivolous reason.
Forget it.. take it with a pinch of salt. At the end, its important one knows what ones worth is.

Successful people, of the future, have to go thru a lot of shit in the beginning. They never have it easy. So don't worry. Everything happens for the good :)

I believe all you could do to impress the jury is the talk you have for 10 minutes you get during the HR session. The rest is decided upon your mark sheet. Of course, this is applicable only for freshers. Cheer up girl. First job is always a gamble, performance counts after you have experience. So dont let the job hunt session take over you. its a bad phase and jobs are the most delicate things these days. one line is applicable- you got to be at the right place at the right time. Once you enter the corporate world, you would learn the politics :) so chill. all the very best for the future hunt.
